Former Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch will not seek reelection, she told Minnesota Public Radio on Monday. Koch stepped down from her leadership post after news broke that she had an “inappropriate relationship” with a subordinate staffer.

She has said before that she wouldn’t seek reelection, but appeared to leave the door slightly ajar in recent interviews. Ahead of the new legislative session in Minnesota, Koch said it’s time to focus on the future, not the past.
