The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has reserved $14.1 million in air time for the fall in three key Senate races, reports National Journal’s Hotline On Call.

That breaks down to $7.4 million in Virginia from Oct. 9 through Nov. 5, where former Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine will be running against presumptive Republican nominee George Allen. In Missouri, the DSCC has reserved at least $3.5 million for the same time period in Missouri to boost incumbent Sen. Claire McCaskill. And in Montana, the DSCC has put down $3.2 million from Aug. 28 to Nov. 5 on behalf of Sen. Jon Tester.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee has already reserved $25 million in air time this fall across six states. The DSCC brought in more money than the NRSC in the first quarter of 2012 and had $24 million cash on hand, more than the NRSC’s $19.6 million. Super PACs will also play a large role in tight congressional races, in addition to the traditional campaign committees.
