Donald Trump bowled over CNBC debate moderator Becky Quick for suggesting the billionaire had criticized Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg on H1-B immigration.

“I was not at all critical of him,” Trump said.

Quick struggled to come up with where she got the reference: “Where did I read this and come up with this?”

Trump shot back: “Probably — I don’t know –you people write this stuff.”

But she needed only to look at Trump’s own campaign website — specifically in his immigration platform.

In it, Trump calls for a hike in wages for employees working on H-1B visas so companies will be incentivized to hire American workers.

“This will improve the number of black, Hispanic and female workers in Silicon Valley who have been passed over in favor of the H-1B program,” the immigration paper, released in August, said. “Mark Zuckerberg’s personal Senator, Marco Rubio, has a bill to triple H-1Bs that would decimate women and minorities.”

Later on the debate, Quick recovered and pointed out that the comment was on Trump’s website.
