Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Monday on Fox that people will fall asleep to the Democratic debate — without him there to entertain.

Trump discussed the TV ratings that he has brought in appearances during his campaign and the hosts of “Fox and Friends” asked Trump how he thought the ratings would be for the Democratic debate this week.

“I don’t think they’ll do great. I think people are going to turn it on for a couple of minutes and then fall asleep,” Trump said. “I don’t want to say this in a braggadocios way, but a person at CNN and a couple of other people said, ‘We have to put Donald Trump in this debate. We’re going to die with it.”‘

Trump also assessed how he thought Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton would perform.

“I think that she will, you know, probably do fine. She hasn’t been a great debater in the past, but I think she just has to hold,” Trump said. “I can’t imagine Bernie Sanders will beat her.”

The first Democratic debate, hosted by CNN, is scheduled to take place Tuesday beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET.
