The DNC released a 2-minute video hitting Romney on the issue of “secrecy,” a point they intend to hit all week long. The video spring boards off the candidate’s “hot mic” moment in Florida on Sunday, which played nicely into Democrats’ overall goal of painting Romney as a secretive candidate who won’t reveal enough tax returns or discuss the specifics of his policies. In an email release the DNC explained their strategy:

Mitt Romney has gone to great lengths to hide his personal financial records, his record as governor of Massachusetts, his volunteer fundraisers aka “bundlers”, and his policy proposals – leaving us to wonder, what ELSE is Mitt Romney hiding?

Democrats promise not to let up pressure on the issue, saying “As long as Mitt Romney tries to hide, we will continue to press this.” Ideally, like earlier this year, the campaign would put enough pressure on Romney to release additional tax returns.
