The Twitter account of House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) sent out a message on Tuesday accusing Secretary of Energy Steven Chu of hypocrisy and attaching a photo of Chu getting into an SUV:

Actually, according to the Energy Department, the vehicle can run on either gasoline or ethanol alcohol.

“Just like they did in their three hour hearing, Congressional critics are distorting the facts to drive a false and misleading agenda,” Jen Stutsman, a spokeswoman with the U.S. Department of Energy, said in a statement to TPM. “This photo shows the Secretary getting into a single, flex fuel vehicle which — as the Chairman knows — is used for security.”
