The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is going all in in North Dakota, reserving $1.2 million worth of ad time between October up through Election Day, a Democratic source confirms.

Democratic Sen. Kent Conrad is retiring, and the party thinks it has a serious shot to hold onto the Senate seat here with former state Attorney General Heidi Heitkamp.

A Mason-Dixon poll from three weeks ago gave Heitkamp a 1-point edge over Republican Rep. Rick Berg. The PollTracker Average currently shows Heitkamp leading Berg, 46.3 percent to 45.3 percent.
