Rep. Mike Quigley (D-IL) was one of the first elected officials to respond Rick Santorum backer Foster Friess’ comments about birth control Thursday. He tied the comments into the controversy over Rep. Darrell Issa’s (R-CA) hearings on contraception, which drew fire for not having any women on the opening panel of witnesses.
Quigley posted his response to Facebook:
“As if an all-male panel at a #choice hearing wasn’t bad enough, this is unfortunately how out-of-touch and smug some of our opponents are.”
