The Democractic National Committee on Tuesday published software code for a voter registration form-generating tool on the open source code repository Github.

The move comes after the DNC was reported to be holding onto the tools that successfully aided the Obama For America’s digital strategy in the 2012 Presidential election, against the wishes of developers who wanted to return their codes to the open source community.

It’s unclear if the code posted on Tuesday was part of the OFA’s digital tool set, but TPM has reached out to the DNC for more clarification on the Github post and will update when we hear back.
