Gov. Mitch Daniels (R-IN) has ruled out making an endorsement before the primary season begins and has indicated that he isn’t likely to endorse one even once the primaries begin. He says that endorsements are overrated.
“An incredibly well-respected person, Governor Christie, made an endorsement a couple weeks ago, and it sort of sank without a trace, so I don’t know why anybody would be excited about what I thought,” Daniels told Indiana Public Media.
Daniels added that with the seemingly fluid GOP filed he hopes that Indiana’s May primary will play a significant role in choosing the nominee.
