“The Daily Show” on Thursday memorialized the late Roger Ebert with its episode-closing “Moment of Zen” segment, playing a clip of host Jon Stewart’s 2006 interview with the legendary film critic.

In the clip, Stewart read from Ebert’s negative review of the 2002 film “Death to Smoochy,” in which the Daily Show anchor starred.

“But what did I say in the first paragraph of that review? I said you have to be amazingly talented and gifted to make a movie this bad,” Ebert quipped.
