A federal judge ruled Wednesday that Arizona authorities can enforce the “show me your papers” provision of the state’s immigration law, the Associated Press reports. The Supreme Court didn’t throw out that provision of the law when it ruled on several other provisions of S.B.1070 back in June.

U.S. District Judge Susan Bolton didn’t rule on the merits of the ‘papers’ provision but rather said it “cannot be challenged further on its face before the law takes effect.”
