A controlled detonation at the apartment of the suspect in Friday’s mass shooting in Aurora, Colorado was successful, The Denver Post reports. Authorities are trying to gain safe access to the booby-trapped apartment of suspect James Eagan Holmes

Earlier Saturday, bomb technicians successfully deactivated a trip wire at the apartment.
