The conservative group American Future Fund is out with a new ad attacking President Obama as weak on foreign policy and highlighting the attacks in Libya that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Politico reports.

“Sept. 11, 2012: Our ambassador is murdered. U.S. embassies under attack. Our president? Skips his security briefing the next day to attend a fundraiser in Vegas,” the narrator says in the ad. “Al Qaeda surges. Turmoil engulfs the Middle East. Our president? Too busy to meet with our closest ally in the region.” Images of President Obama on ABC’s The View and of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appear on the screen.

The narrator closes with: “Is America leading? Are we safer? It’s time for a leader who takes charge.”

So far, the new ad campaign consists of a $343,000 buy in Iowa that will run from Oct. 5 – 10.
