The congressional Democratic delegation from Michigan on Monday urged Gov. Rick Snyder (R) to veto the state’s proposed “right-to-work” legislation. According to a readout of the meeting, the lawmakers urged Snyder to allow Michigan citizens to vote on the issue. Snyder told the lawmakers he would “seriously” consider the recommendations.
According to the readout, the lawmakers in attendance were: Snyder, Sen. Carl Levin, Reps. John Dingell, John Conyers, Sandy Levin, Gary Peters, Hansen Clark, Dave Curson and Rep.-elect Dan Kildee.
