Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper (D) told the Associated Press Wednesday “the time is right” for his state to consider gun control measures. In the interview, published Thursday, Hickenlooper said the legislative session in January would be a good time to debate the issue.
Hickenlooper, as the AP points out, resisted debating the state’s gun laws after the Aurora movie theater shooting massacre in July and said at the time that stricter gun laws would not have prevented the shooting.
