The Colbert Report will resume taping Monday after a brief suspension was abruptly announced last week, reports the New York Times. No reason was given for stopping production last week, though there were rumors it was a family emergency, prompting concern and well-wishes from fans. According to the Times, people close to Colbert indicate he was caring for his 91-year old mother, Lorna.

According to the show’s website, novelist Ann Patchett will be the guest on Monday’s show.
