A new poll from CNN shows President Obama leading Wisconsin by 4 points, 49 percent to 45 percent for presumtive Republican nominee Mitt Romney. The survey was done completely after Romney chose Rep. Paul Ryan, who represents a southern Wisconsin district in Congress, as his Vice Presidential nominee.

The poll shows both sides have their base locked down in Wisconsin, attracting over 90 percent of partisans, and independents go for Romney 46 percent to 44 percent. Ryan is viewed favorably by Wisconsin voters, with 50 percent having a positive view of him, against 32 percent who have a negative one. But he’s outpaced in the state by Obama, who is viewed favorably by 54 percent against 42 percent who see him unfavorable.

Overall, the PollTracker Average shows President Obama with a 2.5 percent lead in Wisconsin.
