After news broke that CNN is ending “John King, USA,” a CNN spokeswoman told TPM that King will “have the greatest impact” as a campaign reporter in the field.
“John is an exceptional reporter and we want him to be available to report for more shows and to be out in the field, as he did in the last election,” the spokeswoman said. “This is where we think he will have the greatest impact.”
“John King, USA” will be on the air until June 29. “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer” will absorb the time slot on July 2.
