Federal prosecutors began closing arguments on Tuesday in the perjury trial of former pitching icon Roger Clemens after nearly two months of testimony. The baseball star is accused of lying to Congress in 2008 about using performance-enhancing drugs. Brian McNamee, Mr. Clemens’s trainer, admitted to administering steroids and human-growth hormones to the player in 1998, 2000, and 2001. He then presented investigators with stored waste from the injections.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Gilberto Guerrero told the panel “You are the final umpires here. This is not the game of baseball. This is a court of law. Hold him accountable, find him guilty on every single count.”
