Hillary Clinton took a comfortable lead over Donald Trump in the latest weekly NBC News-Survey Monkey national tracking poll out Tuesday, earning 50 percent of support among likely voters compared to 45 percent for the real estate mogul.

With absentee and early voting underway in several states, the survey, which previously reported results from registered voters, now accounts for likely voters. Last week’s survey of registered voters found a narrower race between the two major party candidates, with Clinton leading Trump 48 to 44 percent and only 42 to 40 percent when third-party candidates were taken into account. The former secretary of state did better among registered voters this week, leading Trump 49 percent to 43 percent in a two-way matchup.

In a four-way matchup among likely voters this week, Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson earned 10 percent of the vote compared to 4 percent for Green Party candidate Jill Stein.

National surveys indicate that the race remains tight. According to TPM’s Poll Tracker Average, Clinton has a slight lead with 50 percent of the vote nationally compared to 44.4 percent for Trump.

The NBC-Survey Monkey poll was conducted online between Sept. 12-18 among 14,326 adults who say they’re registered to vote, of whom 13,320 are likely voters. The margin of error was 1.2 percentage points.
