Clint Eastwood narrates a new ad from American Crossroads, the Karl Rove-affiliated super PAC, telling voters that Obama has failed and it’s time for a new president. “When someone doesn’t get the job done, you gotta hold them accountable,” Eastwood says in the ad.

Eastwood makes a pitch for Romney’s ability to turn the country around, saying America’s survival is at stake: “Obama’s second term would be a rerun of the first and our country just couldn’t survive that. We need someone who can turn it around fast and that man is Mitt Romney. There’s not much time left and the future of our country is at stake.”

The ad starts running Wednesday in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio and Virginia, according to the New York Times, which first reported the ad.

The ad is part of a $12.6 million ad campaign from American Crossroads which includes a total of three ads attacking Obama.
