Republican presidential candidate New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Wednesday it would be a relief to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton when he “beat her rear end” on the debate stage.
Christie told his New Hampshire crowd that he’s “the last person” Clinton would want to see on the debate stage in September.
“You know why? She’s been running away from federal prosecutors for the last six months,” Christie said. “Man, she sees a federal prosecutor on the stage, I’ll beat her rear end on that stage, and you know what? After I do, she’ll be relieved because she’ll just be worried I was going to serve her with a subpoena.”
Christie was appointed U.S. attorney for the state of New Jersey by President George W. Bush in 2001.
“It’ll be a relief just to lose the debate,” Christie said.
