Police: Virginia 4-Year-Old Killed With A Pellet Gun By Another Juvenile

A 4-year-old was killed on Friday after being shot in the chest with a pellet gun by another juvenile in Richmond, Va., according to television station WWBT.

The shooting happened on Friday night when 4-year-old Geonna Bradley was accidentally shot in the chest by a young relative, WWBT reported. Bradley was transported to the Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Gene Lepley of the Richmond Police Department called the shooting a “family tragedy” when describing the incident to WWBT.

“The child was struck, and apparently the heart stopped,” Lepley said. “Her heart stopped, and she could not be resuscitated.”

WWBT reported that police said charges would not be filed in this shooting.
