A new analysis of TV ads run last week confirm where the fight for Senate control is truly being fought.

The analysis, conducted by the Center For Public Integrity, found that Iowa, North Carolina, Kentucky, Colorado and Louisiana — in that order — featured the top five ad buys. The study was based on data from Oct. 7-13 by the ad tracking group Kantar Media/CMAG.

The chart below was produced by CPI:

More than 70 percent of Senate-based TV ads last week were “negative” ads, meaning they featured criticisms of a candidate, all or in part.
