Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, a Republican-turned-independent, told MSNBC on Wednesday that he believes Attorney General Eric Holder was “on the right track” when he referred to voter ID laws as “poll taxes.”
Crist, who wrote an op-ed about voter ID in the Washington Post this week, said voting restrictions “impede the natural right of democracy and a citizen’s right to have their voice heard in important elections.”
