Castro: Texas Will Be Purple State By 2020

San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, who delivered the keynote address on the first night of the Democratic convention Tuesday, said at a forum hosted by ABC News and Univision that he believes Texas will be a purple state in six to eight years.

Castro argued that the confluence of people moving into Texas from more moderate states, as well as the growing Latino community, will moderate the state by 2020.
