The Associated Press reports that a series of coordinated car bombs ripped across Iraq today, killing at least 60 people and wounding more than 200 in one of the deadliest days since the U.S. withdrawal. The bombings, which mainly targeted Shiite pilgrims in Baghdad and five other cities, were the third such attacks this week.

Two of the explosions also hit offices of political parties linked to the country’s Kurdish minority. No organization has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks.
