House Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s (R-VA) ERICPAC political fund made a donation of $25,000 to the Campaign for Primary Accountability, a group dedicated to attacking incumbents in Congressional primaries.

As Roll Call reports, the donation was actually made in order to be used in an incumbent vs. incumbent race caused by redistricting, in which Cantor endorsed freshman Rep. Adam Kinzinger over the longtime senior Rep. Don Manzullo:

The Virginia Republican had previously endorsed Kinzinger and donated directly to his campaign, which was unusual in and of itself and which drew the ire of Manzullo and some older members of the GOP Conference.
