House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) abruptly cancelled his scheduled speech on income inequality at the University of Pennsylvania on Friday morning after his office was warned that the school opened the speech to the public. Originally, the speech was going to be heard only by the university community.

Cantor’s speech was going to be protested by liberal groups, unions, and the Occupy Philadelphia protesters.
