In the CNBC spin room, Herman Cain was asked whether it was appropriate for him to refer to House Minority Leader and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) as “Princess Nancy,” in light of how he is already denying allegations of mistreating women.

“That is a statement that I probably shouldn’t have made, but I was trying to make a point,” Cain conceded. He then reiterated his statements that Pelosi had locked up the House Republicans’ proposals on health care.

It is interesting to note that within minutes of Cain’s remark during the debate, his campaign doubled down on Twitter.
