In an interview with HLN on Tuesday morning, Herman Cain continued to subtly tweak his response to the Politico accusations of sexual harassment.

On Monday, Cain eventually admitted that money had been paid to the two women, after spending much of the day denying that there was ever a payout. At the time, Cain said that the payout amounted to perhaps 2 or 3 months severance pay.

Yet during his interview on Tuesday, that amount grew to as Cain admitted that it “was in the vicinity of 3 to 6 months’ severance pay,” adding that the payment was “not outside our guidelines for what most people get…when they leave the Restaurant Association involuntarily.”
