Nineteen people were killed on Friday when a bomb ripped through a bus travelling from Peshawar to the nearby town of Charsadda. Peshawar has been the site of numerous bombings since 2007 when the Pakistani military increased operations against militia groups. “The bus was carrying around 40 people, most of them government employees, when there was a huge blast,” police official Merah Khan said.
