Republican Sen. Scott Brown is standing by his reply in Monday night’s debate in Massachusetts, when he told Democratic challenger Elizabeth Warren: “Excuse me, I’m not a student in your classroom. Please let me respond.”

“When I’m trying to answer a question, I’m constantly being interrupted almost on every question,” Brown said at a campaign event Wednesday, according to the Boston Herald.

“I’m not a student in her classroom. I wanted the ability to actually answer the question. And I felt that I had to actually let her know that the constant interruption and the badgering, it didn’t feel like a debate should have felt.”
