John Brennan hedged on a question on whether enhanced interrogation techniques played an important role in the capture of Osama bin Laden during his confirmation hearing for CIA director Thursday.
“Were the EIT’s key to the takedown of Osama bin Laden?” Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) asked Brennan.
Brennan responded that he had not seen all the relevant intelligence and that if confirmed, “I look forward to hearing from the CIA on that and coming back to this committee and giving you my full and honest views.”
