Sen. Dianne Feisntein (D-CA) recessed John Brennan's confirmation hearing for CIA director after protestors interrupted the start of the hearing five times. Feinstein attributed the protests to the group Code Pink.
"The next time we will clear the chamber and bring people back in one by one," Feinstein, the Senate Intelligence Committee chair, warned after Brennan was repeatedly interrupted during his opening statement. "This witness is entitled to be heard, ladies and gentlemen, so please give him that opportunity."
Brennan was then interrupted again.
"I am going to ask that the room be cleared and that the Code Pink associates not be permitted to come back in," Feinstein said. "It has been done five times now, and five times is enough. So we will recess for a few minutes."
