Bradlee Dean, the preacher who questioned President Obama’s faith during a 2011 prayer on the Minnesota House floor, was allowed to return and speak at a Florida high school last week after being kicked off campus a few weeks earlier.

Dean was invited to speak to a school club at an after-school meeting at Spanish River High School in Boca Raton, Fla. in mid-February. A lawyer representing Dean said at the time that the school kept Dean away because of his anti-gay stance. The lawyer, Horatio Mihet of Liberty Counsel, called the move unconstiutional and threatened legal action against the school district if Dean wasn’t allowed to return.

Dean spoke to a group of students on March 7 at the high school, according to a release from the preacher’s ministry, You Can Run But You Cannot Hide International. Palm Beach County school district spokesperson Vickie Middlebrooks confirmed Dean’s appearance to TPM Wednesday.

Dean said in a statement last week:

“The truth of the matter is, I know what it is like to be forgotten about, therefore it is easy to stand up and fight for what you love and I love this generation enough to fight for them. It stands true, God will give you what you are willing to fight for. No excuses. And today’s victory at the American club, Spanish River High School speaks for itself. God has not changed — the American people have.”
