The Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins are both scheduled to play home games tonight, but with the city in lockdown during a manhunt for the suspected Boston Marathon bomber, neither looks likely to proceed.

The Red Sox are postponing their game against the Kansas City Royals at Fenway Park in response to the security crackdown, per the team’s Twitter feed.

The Bruins already cancelled a morning practice and according to Comcast Sportsnet reporter Joe Haggerty, police are planning to shut down their game as well.

The Boston Celtics are scheduled to begin their NBA playoff series against the New York Knicks on Saturday, but will play on the road at Madison Square Garden.
