The grounding of Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner fleet is the first time in 34 years that regulators have pulled an entire airplane model out of service, Bloomberg News reported Thursday.

The fleet was ground over technical issues. On Wednesday, a Dreamliner was forced to make an emergency landing in Japan after issues with the plane’s battery.
