Boehner: Obama’s Fiscal Cliff Plan Would ‘Leave Red Ink As Far As The Eye Can See’

House Speaker John Boehner called on President Obama and Senate Democrats to take action on the House bills to avert the fiscal cliff in his weekly address Saturday. Boehner also criticized the Obama’s tax hike proposal, saying it would “leave red ink as far as the eye can see.”

Lawmakers are expected to return to Washington after Christmas to continue to work on a deal before the end of the year.
