At this morning’s Supreme Court oral arguments on the constitutionality of California’s Proposition 8, Justice Anthony Kennedy suggested that children of same-sex couples suffer an “immediate legal injury” from the same-sex marriage ban, according to Bloomberg News:
Bloomberg News’s Laurie Asseo and Greg Stohr report that Justice Anthony Kennedy, in early questioning, “suggested that children of same-sex couples suffer an “immediate legal injury” from California’s ban. ‘They want their parents to have full recognition and status,’ Kennedy said. ‘The voices of those children’ is important, he suggested.”
