BlackBerry Maker RIM To Cut 5,000 Jobs In Restructuring

Canadian smartphone giant Research In Motion, maker of the once-popular BlackBerry line, on late Thursday released its first quarter results, which alone weren’t pretty, with a $518 million net loss, but also acknowledged it would be eliminating 5,000 jobs in “restructuring efforts,” as Yahoo Finance reported.
