Rick Santorum announced the creation of his Colorado steering committee Wednesday ahead of the February 7 caucuses. The list has a few big names from Colorado politics, including: former Congressman Tom Tancredo and former Colorado lieutenant governor Jane Norton.
Norton, remember, ran for the Colorado Senate seat in 2010 but lost the primary to Tea Party favorite Ken Buck. That same year, Tancredo launched a third-party bid for governor of Colorado with Tea Party support resulting in the election of Colorado’s Democratic governor.
