Biden To Ford Executive: 'Thanks For Saving Our Ass'

Biden was touring the American International Auto Show in Detroit with Ford executive chairman Bill Ford Jr. and Rep John Dingell (D-MI). The pool reporter couldn't make out Ford's response.

Out of Detroit's three major automakers, Ford was the only one that did not seek a government bailout from the Obama administration after the 2008 financial crisis.

Biden sat in several new cars and said he felt like a "kid in a candy shop," according to the pool report, prompting Ford to joke "I think he's driving back in one."

Progress overnight on deployment of new commenting system. We hope to move into a short beta-testing phase shortly.
