Biden: We’ll Be Criticized For Pursuing Guns But Not Other Issues

Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday said he expects the White House to be criticized for expending political capital on a push for new gun control measures. “People will say, ‘If we’re spending that much energy, we’re not spending enough energy on immigration, we’re not spending enough energy on the fiscal problem,” Biden said.

“Look folks,” Biden added, “President’s don’t get to choose what they deal — they deal with what is before them, and then what they’d like to long-term.”
