Biden To Meet With House Dems’ Task Force On Gun Violence

Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to meet with House Democrats’ task force to reduce gun violence at 11 a.m. ET Monday. The House members joining Biden are: Reps. Mike Thompson (CA), Bobby Scott (VA), Chaka Fattah (PA), Carolyn McCarthy (NY), Jackie Speier (CA), Elizabeth Esty (CT),  William Enyart (IL), Ed Perlmutter (CO), Bennie Thompson (MS), John Conyers (MI), John Dingell (MI) and Ron Barber (AZ).

Attorney General Eric Holder, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano will also attend the meeting in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.

Biden, who is leading the White House’s task force in response to the Newtown shooting, is expected to make his recommendations on gun violence to President Obama by Tuesday.
