Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to meet with New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and families from Newtown, Conn. at 11 a.m. ET Thursday at New York’s City Hall.
“The group will demand that Congress take action on commonsense gun reforms and pass legislation like background checks for all gun sales,” Mayors Against Illegal Guns, Bloomberg’s gun control group, said in a written statement.
Biden has led the White House’s efforts to enact policies to reduce gun violence after the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
