Speaking at an event in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Monday, Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) went for the jugular of Gov. Rick Perry, who fumbled a response about Pakistan during last week’s debate.

“We can’t compromise this time,” Bachmann said according to Politico. “We can’t settle for a candidate who doesn’t understand the problems that we have in the Middle East, who doesn’t understand the problems in Afghanistan and Pakistan.”

Though she never mentioned Perry by name, the attack was clearly directed at the Texan. Bachmann continues trying to claw her way back into the top tier of GOP candidates with these attacks. She is now polling in the low single digits in national polls and placed last in Saturday’s Florida straw poll.
