In an open letter to her congressional website on Thursday, Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) accused President Obama of overlooking national security by supporting LightSquared’s development of a national wireless broadband network that may interfere with critical GPS communications.

The company has ties to FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski as well as Obama contributor Philip Falcone and the administration took flak over a Daily Beast report that it tried to pressure an Air Force general about his congressional testimony on the tests.

“Our national leadership should be ashamed,” Bachmann wrote.  “The support of LightSquared is crony capitalism at its worst.”

She’s used the “crony capitalism” charge before, most recently against Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who she went after in the GOP debates over his links with the medical company, Gardasil.
