Actress and potential Democratic Senate candidate Ashley Judd on Friday will deliver remarks on women’s reproductive health during an event at the George Washington School of Public Health and Health Services in Washington, D.C.

The event may heighten speculation that Judd, pegged as a potential challenger to Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in Kentucky’s 2014 U.S. Senate race, will enter public office. Rep. John Yarmuth (D-KY), the lone Democrat in Kentucky’s congressional delegation, said in a story published Monday that he “would be surprised” if Judd doesn’t run.
